Free United Way Workshop Offers Orange County Families Strategies and Tools for Financially Secure Futures

June 12 “Income Day of Caring” key to organization’s goal of reducing number of financially unstable families in Orange County by 25 percent over the next decade

WHAT: Income Day of Caring, offering a wide variety of workshops geared toward improving the financial footing of Orange County families struggling to make ends meet.

WHO: Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the event will feature volunteer financial professionals and business leaders offering free advising services to hundreds of Orange County families.

WHEN: Sunday, June 12; 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Pretend City Children’s Museum, 29 Hubble, Irvine, CA 92618

WHY: Orange County United Way’s quarterly Days of Caring events enable our partners to give their time back to the community through volunteering. These large-scale events are inspirational ways to connect with underserved individuals and families and each other. Each quarter’s event focuses on one of United Way’s four buildings blocks for a good life: Education, Income, Health and Housing. This upcoming volunteer project will help local families by providing access to resources that help reduce the income gap, including SparkPoint OC Financial Empowerment Centers, resume building, interview practicing sessions, affordable banking options and tips on improving credit scores.
