Orange County’s top corporate supporters will gather in Newport Beach September 8, celebrate community champions, while learning how they can make an even more significant impact in 2017

WHY: The annual Rally for Change has quickly become one of the most impactful events on Orange County’s corporate and philanthropic calendars. The focus is to inspire and call the local community and business to action, instilling a sense of urgency to make an immediate and lasting impact on the many serious issues facing residents countywide. Attendees will get an update on United Way’s progress thus far in meeting the bold goals laid out in its FACE 2024 community-wide action plan. This 10-year plan, established in 2014, calls for:
- Cutting the high school dropout rate in 1/2
- Decreasing the percentage of financially unstable families by 25 percent
- Increasing the number of healthy youth in Orange County by 1/3 and
- Reducing homelessness and housing-insecurity by 1/2 for local children and families
In addition, Orange County’s most generous corporate donors and volunteers will be recognized at the event for their generosity of time, talent and treasure throughout the past year, including the announcement of the 2016 “Dimensions in Giving” Award recipient, won last year by the Automobile Club of Southern California.
