Ernst & Young Connects Employees to Community Needs
On September 30th, more than 23,000 Ernst & Young (EY) employees around the world gathered to volunteer for the organization’s annual day of service through EY Connect Day. The goal was to promote partnerships with local non-profit organizations in an effort to create stronger workforces.
This year EY’s Orange County team joined us in Irvine to help our SparkPoint OC program participants with tips on workforce preparedness, enhanced their job interview skills, and conducted panel mock interviews. Adrian Tjakra from EY commented that, “one of our volunteers shared that, the most meaningful part of EY Connect day is that she had a chance to give back and learn alongside those who are passionate about affecting change in our communities.”
We are thankful for all EY volunteers who came out to help make our community a better place, one day at a time.
