SparkPoint OC Financial Empowerment Centers help families create step-by-step personal finance plans to tackle their specific needs. With the help of one-on-one financial coaching, attainable goal-setting plans are created in three key areas: increasing income, managing credit and building assets.

SparkPoint OC recently held their first graduation ceremony to celebrate the incredible success of 33 graduates. Since its inception, SparkPoint OC has helped 437 families attain financial stability, and together they have decreased their debt by $1.9 million. The graduating class of July 2016 collectively paid off $236,000 in debt, increased their savings by $75,000, and saw their credit scores increase on average by 125 points.

The graduation celebrated these individual’s successes, sacrifices, and hard work put in to attain their goals. Leslie Aguilar, SparkPoint OC director, shared this quote by Norman Vincent Peale, in closing: “People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things.  When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.”  The SparkPoint OC graduation was a moving celebration of what happens when people choose to believe in themselves and are empowered with coaches and cheerleaders who know the sky is the limit for these graduates!
