SUMMARY:Pathways to Stability for Young Adults | Community Chat
DESCRIPTION:For young adults facing housing instability\, the path forward can look different. Explore what helps create a stronger foundation.\n\n\nYoung adulthood is a time when many people are taking important steps toward independence\, from continuing their education and entering the workforce to finding housing and building financial security. For transitional-aged youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness\, those milestones can be much harder to reach without a stable place to live or consistent support along the way.  \nJoin Dr. Tiffany Mitchell\, Chief Program Officer at Orangewood Foundation\, and Dr. Shelby Feliciano-Sabala\, Chief Partnership Officer at Project Hope Alliance and Orange County Continuum of Care Board Member\, for a candid conversation about what it can take for young people to gain their footing as they move into adulthood. Together\, they’ll look at how housing\, education\, employment\, relationships\, and access to resources can intersect\, and where the right connections can open doors to new possibilities.  \nThis interactive conversation will be shaped in part by questions submitted by our community. Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance or during the webinar through the Q&A form. Questions may be combined or rephrased around common themes\, and our speakers will address as many as time allows.  \nWhether you’re a parent\, educator\, service provider\, advocate\, or community member\, this is an opportunity to learn directly from local experts\, hear different perspectives\, and be part of creating an Orange County where every young person has a safe and affordable place to call home\, and the opportunity to thrive.  \nThe conversation will be moderated by Becks Heyhoe-Khalil\, Executive Director of United to End Homelessness at Orange County United Way.
