Orange County United Way Announces Four New Board Members

Irvine, CA, (July 21, 2020) – Orange County United Way is proud to announce the election of four new members to its respected board of directors:

  • Charles Antis, Antis Roofing & Waterproofing
  • Shirin Behzadi, Board member, Advisor and former CEO of Home Franchise Concepts
  • Mark Clemens, KPMG LLP
  • Mark Stockton, US Bank Home Mortgage

All new members were elected at the Orange County United Way Board Meeting held on June 19, 2020, and will serve through June 30, 2023.

“We’re very excited to welcome these four new members to our Board of Directors, and we are confident they will provide valuable perspectives as we continue to execute our vision of creating an Orange County where every person receives a quality education, is financially stable, is healthy and thriving, and has a place to call home,” said Susan B. Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way. “They join Orange County United Way at a critical time for many community members and residents, and we look forward to their contributions.”

Charles Antis is the Founder and CEO of Antis Roofing & Waterproofing.  A well-respected and widely known roofing expert, entrepreneur and humanitarian, Charles has become one of the most trusted names in the roofing industry country wide, as well as an inspirational business leader championing social corporate responsibility.

Charles serves on a dozen national and local boards for well-known organizations including the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and Orange County United Way’s United to End Homelessness initiative Executive Leadership Council.

Charles has been the recipient of many prestigious national awards, including the American Red Cross Corporate Hero Award and a Civic 50 honoree of the most community minded companies in Orange County in 2019.

Shirin Behzadi is one of the most successful female entrepreneurs in the franchising industry today, and is the former CEO of Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), one of the world’s largest franchise businesses and a recognized leader in franchise-franchisor relationships. Under her leadership, the company was transformed into what is considered today the top-selling family of direct-to-consumer brands in the home-related goods and services space.

Shirin currently serves on boards of growing brands and acts as an advisor to CEO and PE partners. She is a founding member and Chairperson of BOMANI Cold Buzz, the first alcohol infused cold brew coffee.

She has been recognized by Ernst & Young as Entrepreneur of the Year and was a recipient of the Innovation Award by Franchise.com. She was on the cover of Forbes.com on International Women’s Day in 2019.

Mark Clemens is the current Managing Partner of KPMG’s Orange County office, and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of KPMG’s Orange County office, and supports the development of nearly 430 partners and professionals. As an audit partner with 30 years of experience, Mark has worked with various public and private companies over the years and currently focuses primarily in the technology industry. Mark is also an SEC reviewing partner (since 2004), giving him responsibility for managing companies through the registration and periodic reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mark is active in non-profit and community activities, serving as a board member of Discovery Cube Orange County and Forum for Corporate Directors. He also serves as an advisory board member for several university business schools and is a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society with Orange County United Way.

Mark Stockton is the current Vice President and Regional Production Manager for US Home Bank Mortgage. In this role, he has opened and launched the Residential Loan Origination Centers, and was responsible for staffing, licensing the facility setup and training residential mortgage originators.

Throughout the course of his career, he has successfully launched and marketed cutting edge social networking website for aspiring entertainment industry professionals in 38 countries and played a key role in the formulation and implementation of automated appraiser compensation system for American Savings Bank.

He also acted as the co-chair for the Blaze of Glory Event to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s Orange County chapter.
