Orange County United Way Names Four New Board Members

Irvine, CA, (May 18, 2020) – Orange County United Way is proud to announce the election of four new members to its respected board of directors:

  • Dilanthi De Alwis-Mummert, UPS
  • Kenneth Lickel, Retired – Alcon Laboratories
  • Lisa A. Locklear, Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
  • Robbin Narike Preciado, Union Bank

De Alwis-Mummert was elected at the Orange County United Way Board Meeting held on February 7, 2020.

Lickel, Locklear and Narike Preciado were elected at the Orange County United Way Board Meeting held on April 7, 2020. Lickel previously served on the Board from 1997 to 2019 and was Board Chair 2004 to 2006 and Locklear previously served from 2008 to 2016 as Treasurer and as Finance Committee Chair 2010 to 2016.

All new members will serve through June 2023.

Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way. “They bring a wealth of talents and diverse experience to the board, are eager to make a positive impact here in Orange County, and will do great things for this organization and the community.”

Dilanthi De Alwis-Mummert currently serves as Vice President of Finance, UPS, West Region, a $25 billion business unit that employs over 150,000 people across the 25 western states in the U.S. She leads the region’s finance teams to meet business plan goals and objectives, and is also responsible for strategy development, overseeing business results, forecasting, and planning and execution.

Since beginning her UPS career as a financial analyst in 1999, De Alwis-Mummert held various positions of increasing responsibility in the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets in the areas of finance, revenue management, and business development.

Kenneth Lickel worked for 40 years in the medical equipment business and before retirement, was the Vice President and General Manager at Alcon’s Irvine Technology Center. While at Alcon, he contributed to doubling equipment sales through significant innovation and expansion of Alcon’s product offerings.

Lickel has a long history with Orange County United Way, having served as Board Director from 1997 to 2019 and Board Chairman from 2004 to 2006.

Lisa A. Locklear is current Vice President & CFO of Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Aliso Viejo. She leads a team of 30 professionals in Accounting/Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Contracting & Pricing and Strategic Sourcing. Her key area of focus is to enhance the financial processes, systems and people to create the sustainable and scalable organization that will support the business as it grows.

Prior to Avanir, Locklear was SVP and CFO for GSN Games, a creator and publisher of mobile and online games, based in San Francisco. She also held senior financial leadership roles at CoreLogic, Ingram Micro and the Walt Disney Company.

Robbin Narike Preciado is a managing director and regional president for Union Bank. She oversees retail banking in Southern California covering 81 branches across 5 counties with a combined deposit portfolio of $9.35 billion. She joined Union Bank in 2010 and has more than 30 years of experience in financial services. Prior to Union Bank, she spent 21 years at one of the largest financial institutions in the country, where she distinguished herself in key retail and program management roles.

Narike Preciado most recently served as Chair of the board of the Orange County Business Council. She also oversaw the opening of an innovative high school branch in Anaheim at Loara High School, a public-private partnership between Union Bank and the Anaheim Unified High School District, which won a top award in 2016 from the Orange County Business Council.
