We partnered with Jamboree and the University of California, Irvine, with the support of the Association of California Cities – Orange County (ACC-OC), 2-1-1 Orange County, and the Hospital Association of Southern California to create a collaborative study on the cost of homelessness in the county.

2023-24 Orange County Community Indicators Report

Since 1999, the Orange County Community Indicators Project has annually produced reports measuring the overall quality of life in Orange County by tracking key indicators of economic, social, and environmental well-being.

2024 Point in Time Count Summary

We supported Orange County’s Point In Time Count, which is a biennial survey of people experiencing homelessness on a particular night. The results of the count shape Orange County’s approaches to ending homelessness.

2022 Family Financial Stability Index Report

The Family Financial Stability Index was developed in response to the needs of Orange County United Way to measure progress on their FACE 2024℠ goals, which arose out of their strategic planning process and encompass the domains of Education, Income, Housing, and Health.

Big Data Base

A comprehensive, keyword and field searchable database with detailed information and profiles on foundations, corporate donors, matching gift programs, in-kind donations and government grant makers.

Board Café is the electronic newsletter exclusively for members of nonprofit boards of directors. Short enough to read over a cup of coffee, Board Café offers a menu of ideas, information, opinion, news, and resources to help board members give and get the most out of board service.

Provides resources to help promote, strengthen, and advance the influence, professionalism, accountability and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. Offers conferences, management, fundraising and technical support resources.

Charitable Ventures is dedicated to working with stakeholders to strengthen communities and address critical social issues by: supporting collaborative efforts; incubating new ideas and supporting community projects; and providing practical and innovative consulting to nonprofits and foundations.

Executive Coaches of Orange County (ECOC) is a nonprofit that provides one-on-one coaching to nonprofit leaders at no charge. The 25+ coaches have been helping busy managers set specific goals and solve difficult issues in a confidential setting for over 10 years.

Each Executive Director Forum is comprised of 10 to 12 executive directors facilitated by two ECOC coaches who are experienced nonprofit management consultants. The monthly meetings use a proven process to guide the group to practical solutions for issues brought to the table by each participant.

The Grantsmanship Center provides training workshops of varying intensities for nonprofit and government agency staff to learn comprehensive and applicable skills needed to benefit local communities. Through their Grantsmanship Training Program, grant-seekers create, critique, and evaluate proposal components as well as study funding sources to prepare a complete proposal.

Membership-based service that provides grant proposal alerts, complete list of Funder profiles, grant research tools, as well as proposal writing tools and many other resources for nonprofit administration.

Offers “Grant Explorer” – a comprehensive source of grant information available online. It has information on funding and programs for more than 34,000 U.S. foundations and 680,000 grants.

Access to various nonprofit resources including targeted foundation lists and free or low-cost trainings for nonprofit capacity building.

For technology assistance specifically for nonprofit organizations. Contains articles, message boards, and free tools and resource lists.
